Sheri Barclay Edmonton, Alberta
Published Mar 01, 2001Who are you? Well, I'm not a musician
so I shouldn't bother with this. For the time being, Sheri Barclay for now part of the masses and not so proud of it.
What are you up to? Playing on my computer all day.
Hometown and current HQ:
Current fixations: Reggie and the full effect, my neighbours (I have a perfect view of everyone's kitchen of the apartment in front mine, someone is bound to have sex in there sometime!)
Mind altering work of art (not your own): I like, "I Can See the Whole Room" by Roy Lichtenstein
Most memorable/inspirational gig and why? I've only been to 2. Anyway, Chixdiggit, they hit me on the head with one of the beer cans they were throwing out to the audience. I picked it up and drank it and felt inspired or was it drunk?
What should everyone shut up about?
The Smashing Pumpkins should just kill the Backstreet Boys and everything will be fine.
Your greatest strength and weakness:
Strength - intuition.
Weakness - I never follow it.
Your vital daily ritual:
Some good ol' masturbation.
I like the cheeeeesy stuff...
If I wasn't playing music I would be: Shit, I'm not playing music. My life sucks.
Your most memorable day job:
I live it but I hope one day it will be a memory. I work at the racetrack serving gamblers & alchoholics.
Best/worst advice received:
"Just ignore them, dear."
I would drop everything to play a benefit for: Anything worthwhile, South Africa, saving the animals and curing cancer are equally important.
What makes you want to take it off and get it on? You after a few beers.
What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band? And have you? I've never been in a band but people who are extra pretentious or elitist or chachi get to me.
When I think of Canada I think:
It's good to be me.
Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why? No. I can't stand bad music or bad sex.
Strangest brush with celebrity:
I've never had a brush with one. Damn, I'm interesting.
What does your mom wish you were doing instead? A doctor or a lawyer. Har har. It's true though.
