Miley Cyrus Accused of Ripping Off Celtic Frost for New Album Artwork
A cartoon Miley looks like it was traced directly from the legendary metal band's 'Emperor's Return' EP
The image on the left was used in multiple promotional videos on Miley's Instagram leading up to the release of Plastic Hearts last month, but it was only recently that a handful of eagle-eyed social media users pointed out that the same scantily glad, chained-up lady had previously appeared on the legendary Swiss extreme metal band's 1985 EP Emperor's Return.
Neither reps from Miley nor Celtic Frost have commented on the rip, although plenty of Twitter users have pointed out that the image appears to be directly traced. Miley's left leg is even a weird combination of her own body and the beast's tail on the Celtic Frost cover.

It's funny to me when punks act like it's actually subversive to embrace major label pop music like the industry isn't built upon leeching and repackaging (without acknowledgement) genuine cultural and artistic expression pic.twitter.com/OZh2oMEcjH— Narcissus in Leather (@kingofpunk69) December 3, 2020
