Published May 16, 2011NYC no wavers gone luscious popsters Blonde Redhead have been working hard since they released the electronics-heavy Penny Sparkle last fall. The band have been on the road a fair amount since then, with shows across North America, Japan and Australia. And, for the record, we called their last show in Vancouver this past November "wicked." If you missed out on seeing them live, you will get another chance soon enough: Blonde Redhead have announced some new dates.
Though it was previously revealed that the group would be playing Calgary's Sled Island festival in June, they will also make a few other Canadian stops. First, they will hit up Winnipeg's Pyramid Cabaret on June 20. Then, following those Sled shows, the band will head over to Vancouver's Vogue Theatre as part of the Vancouver International Jazz Fest. After that, Blonde Redhead will travel south of the border for a string of dates.
While they hinted at alternate versions of Penny Sparkle hitting our headphones sometime in the near future, no new details about another record have been revealed as of yet.
