Ryan Reynolds has, at least theoretically, been taking an acting hiatus (although he still appeared in a few movies in 2022). It's the perfect time, then, to go back to college — and, with that in mind, the actor surprised students at Toronto's Seneca College by dropping in on Wednesday (January 1).It's unclear why he was on campus — researching for Van Wilder 2, perhaps? — but he stopped by a journalism class and crashed a student news report, reading off a teleprompter about Dr. Phil coming to an end.
True story: two journalism students at Seneca College in Toronto on Wednesday were honing their craft in studio. Ryan Reynolds, who was getting a tour of the school at the time, not only dropped by to say hello, but contributed to the broadcast. This guy's amazing. pic.twitter.com/2yQIRkPijl

He tweeted a thank-you to Seneca and posed for a photo with a #SenecaProud banner.
Thank you for the tour, @SenecaCollege. Wish something like this existed when I was starting out. #SenecaProud pic.twitter.com/6dSiCoFLZH

It's not clear what Reynolds's connection to Seneca is, but students at TMU must be feeling pretty left out right now.
