​NXNE Gets Rural Alberta Advantage, July Talk, Shad, Brendan Canning as Guest Curators
North by Northeast returns to Toronto this summer, running from June 16 to 25, and organizers have just revealed the list of guest curators for the Club Land portion of the festival.
 
The concert series will take place from June 19 to 22 at various venues across town, and a number of high-profile music insiders will be piecing together custom lineups.
 
Kicking things off on June 19, the Rural Alberta Advantage will curate a show at the Dakota Tavern, Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene will take care of the talent at the Baby G, and CBC radio host Raina Douris will put together the lineup at the Bovine Sex Club.
 
On June 20, July Talk's Leah Fay will curate the Baby G, while Dwayne Gretzky's Nick Rose will curate the Rivoli.
 
The next night (June 21) will see Shad taking the reins at the Baby G, while the Dirty Nil program the Garrison.
 
Finally the guest curator series will come to a close on June 22 with acts selected by Billy Talent's Ian D'Sa at the Horsehoe Tavern, Tasha the Amazon at Cold Tea, and the Pursuit of Happiness's Moe Berg at the Garrison.

As previously reported, NXNE's Game Land programming will run from June 16 to 18, while the Port Lands shows are set to take place from June 23 to 25.
