Published May 03, 2016Oakland R&B singer Kehlani has offered up her first new music since being hospitalized this spring following an alleged suicide attempt. Her return is a mood-examining piece titled "24/7."
Produced by DZL, the song rides a mellow groove of faux-brass synths, spacious snare smacks, and wriggly electronics. "It's OK to not be OK, to dive in your pain," Kehlani sings in her opening verse, with the song going on to hint at the ups and downs and life.
"I don't know nobody who smiles at everybody 24/7," she adds in the chorus.
