Published Sep 03, 2020In June, organizers for Hamilton's Supercrawl have announced their 2020 edition would be retooled with public health in mind, and the festival has now detailed part of its socially distanced programming for the fall.
Supercrawl will reach new heights this month with its Skytop Live Concert Series, lining up six socially distanced, 100-person capacity outdoor shows on the roof of the York Boulevard Parkade in downtown Hamilton.
The concert series begins the evening of September 24 with performances from Tim Hicks and Jessica Mitchell, while the evening of September 25 will bring Lee Harvey Osmond and Evangeline Gentle to the Parkade rooftop.
Over the weekend of September 26 and 27, Supercrawl will sport matinee and evening performances. The 26th will feature fashion and drag shows alongside a performance from Choir! Choir! Choir!, while the 27th will bring Skratch Bastid, LTthemonk and Hachey the MouthPEACE.
Supercrawl festival director Tim Potocic tells Exclaim! that these September concerts will be followed by a free indoor, socially distanced concert series that will run from October through March 2021. Due to be detailed in the coming weeks, the events will cap venue capacity at 50 concertgoers, with the option to tune in to performances through a livestream.
Tickets for all September Skytop Live shows go on sale Friday (September 4) at 10 a.m. ET through Eventbrite. Further details can be found through Supercrawl's website.
