Dead Tired Full Vol.

Dead Tired Full Vol.
6
Hamilton hardcore punk act Dead Tired have been pumping out a collection of EPs over the last few years, which they've now collected into an album along with some bonus tracks. Full Vol. is a great way to package that material into a fully fleshed-out piece of music instead of letting solid tracks from limited-run releases fall by the wayside as their catalogue grows.

The new songs fit in perfectly with the repurposed material, as one would expect from a hardcore band, but they're fun nonetheless. "Night of 100,000 Lies" and "White Caps" are solid mid-tempo punk bangers, while "Get on Me" takes a speedier approach to the band's straightforward Black Flag worshipping sound. They also created a better flow to the music by changing up the arrangement of previously released tracks, which makes those songs feel like they work together, instead of sounding like one-off singles.

This record isn't going to provide a whole lot for people who've been keeping up with everything Dead Tired have been doing since their debut in 2015, but it's a fantastic idea to give those who may have dropped off along the way a reason to catch up. Further, the new songs offer dedicated fans something fresh to chew on, as well as crisp remastered versions of the tracks they've already come to love. (New Damage)
