Published May 28, 2020What was the last movie you saw in theatres? Whether it was Sonic the Hedgehog or something not as good, chances are it's been a long time since you've got to kick back and eat a week's worth of calories in popcorn and M&Ms. If you happen to live in France, however, you may get to experience that feeling again as cinemas are set to open next month.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the government has decided that movie theatres will be allowed to reopen on June 22. This is part of a general decision to relax rules that were put in place to flatten the curve of the coronavirus pandemic earlier this year.
Under the new rules, theatres will be allowed to reopen provided they limit the number of patrons per screen and keep moviegoers distanced from one another.
France's daily number of coronavirus cases peaked in mid-April.
