The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil is a body positivity warrior on Instagram and has been calling out celebrities for promoting the false benefits of detox teas and diet shakes — something Cardi B is totally guilty of doing.
Jamil took to Twitter to condemn Cardi's ad campaign, declaring that she hopes "all these celebrities shit their pants in public."
They got Cardi B on the laxative nonsense "detox" tea. GOD I hope all these celebrities all shit their pants in public, the way the poor women who buy this nonsense upon their recommendation do. Not that they actually take this shit. They just flog it because they need MORE MONEY pic.twitter.com/OhmTjjWVOp— Jameela Jamil (@jameelajamil) November 24, 2018
In the wake of that, Cardi was found commenting on an Instagram post featuring a screenshot of Jamil's comments. The rapper wrote: "I will never shit my pants cause there's public bathrooms everywhere… oooo and bushes."
Unfazed, Jamil got slightly more graphic in an Instagram post, explaining that so-called "miracle products" don't make you thinner, but rather "they give you diarrhea, which then gives you a flatter tummy for a day."
Some thoughts I have about @flattummyco being flogged this morning to prey on the RIDICULOUS shame women are made to feel when they indulge on days like Thanksgiving. I hate this company and it's poisonous rhetoric that is only marketed at young girls and their branding is all pink. They are just the worst. 👎🏽
Jamil later posted a satirical smoothie ad of her own, which ends with her sitting on the toilet for three days straight (but still guzzling the celebrity-approved drink). Watch it below.
